At home following tips are acquired to clean the extensions:
Before cleansing untangle the hair extensions. It is done by soft brushing; if these are too tangled then the hair conditioner is applied before untangling.
For rinsing use the mild shampoo for chemically treated hairs. It is particularly formulated for this purpose.
Wash the extensions from the top down while softly working the shampoo into the strands. Do not twist, scrub or rub the hair. Use the shampoo slenderly and gently.
Wash soundly with clean water, again working from the top down. Make sure while rinse so that all shampoo is took out, and clear water is obtained, work softly because improper rinsing could results in damage.
Use a quality conditioner, but avoid adding overmuch conditioner. A leave-in conditioner is perfect to boost a healthy shine and styling ease.
Wrap your hair in a towel and softly press the hair to remove the extra water.
Comb through the extensions while these are wet and leave them to air dry.
Lightly comb the hair to take out tangles, Using a large toothed comb, move in a downward motion to the ends.
Now style them as usual.
